An academic treatsie on Goosebumps
So the other day I'm reading a Goosebumps novel.
Some may say, "Can you really call it a novel?"
Well, it's a book; isn't it?
I'm reading it, and I'm enjoying it. Because its really awful writing. Is it wrong of me to like reading really crappy books? Is it wrong? Is it really? Is it really wrong?
It's called "Say Cheese and Die".
The first thing about Goosebumps is that the picture on the cover has nothing to do with the book. It's not that the picture has absolutely nothing to do with book. It's really just misleading. The cover had some skeletons eating some hamburgers. It was a photograph of skeletons on a picnic. That's not really that scary.
If you were around a campfire and someone was shining the light on their face, with the shadows cast on his face, he says, "And the skeletons were eating cheeseburgers!"
This isn't the kind of scary where you grab your boyfriend... Or would it be?
But anyway, I'm reading the story and this kid finds a magical camera. When he takes pictures, it shows bad things that are going to happen.
Except I didn't get to finish the book. My book elitist "friend" who doesn't appreciate Goosebumps took the book and hid it. I don't know how it ends. So if anyone knows how "Say Cheese and Die" ends, post it up.

Bad guys? Fact or Fiction
Sure, we're all afraid of bad guys. But have you ever seen a bad guy? NO! No one has.
Bad guys aren't real.

Oh, but it's cold outside
I woke up early yesterday to participate in the Homecoming parade. The dorms were eerily silent as most everyone was sleeping in. Even as I returned at 10:30, there was little movement. The weather had turned. The gray skies made sleeping in ideal.
A number of residents made it out of bed in time to attend the Homecoming game. The cold, windy weather made the game a little hard to watch. However, the players' performance made enduring the cold tolerable. The crowd roared as touchdown, touchdown, and 2-point defensive conversion resutled in a victory. (As a side note, Resident Assistant No. 25 Adam Wells rushed for 186 yards and scored a 61 yard touchdown.)
A number of residents attended the Homecoming dance. Ball gowns and tuxedos brightened the gloomy sky. Glamorous couples started returning home just before midnight.
Normally, there are quite a few people outside late at night. Until now, the late hours happened to be the most pleasant time of day. However, with temperatures in the low 40s and upper 30s, standing outside or even playing basketball or volleyball wasn't a choice activity.
Many of the residents who are normally outside started congregating in the Resident Life Building around 10pm. By eleven, RL was buzzing with conversation and activity. The crowd lingered well after 2am when I finished rounds.
The cold weather continues tonight. Again, RL is abuzz with more residents than usual although not as many as last night. I hope that this trend continues.
