Avoid the Freshman 15

If you are worried about packing on a few pounds this year, a inexpensive solution can be found right here on campus.
The FITNESS CENTER is located near the stadium. They have a variety of strength training and cardiovascular machines as well as dumbbell and free weights. The Fitness Center is open Monday-Thursday 6am-10pm, Friday 6am-7pm, and Saturday 7am-2pm. It is closed on Sunday.
To access the Fitness Center you can sign up for a course (PEHR 1088, 1089, 1090 or 1091). The course does require a certain number of days a week and hours of exercise. There are also assessments and required activity hours. If you are already used to working out, sign up for an (somewhat) easy A.
For those that don't have multiple days a week to visit the Fitness Center, you can still use the facility for $25 a semester. That's a steal! You may also add swimming, personal training, and other services for a fee. Check out the services pricing list here.
The Fitness Center also sponsors Intramurals. Check out the fall schedule.
